Search and recovery of submerged objects

Search with multibeam echo sounder and side scan sonar

Reflectivity is the property of materials of reflecting acoustic waves to a greater or lesser extent, according to their physical characteristics (greater extent in harder materials like rocks, and lesser extent in soft materials like sand and mud). SeaBat 8101 multibeam echo sounder has the capacity of performing lateral sweep sonar readings (side scan) and, simultaneously, depth measurements, obtaining reflectivity data of the seabed materials with centimetric precision.

With this information, it is possible to obtain seabed cartographies classified according to the type of material, as well as to identify submerged objects, etc.

Search with video guided form the surface

In order to avoid any overstrain of scuba divers, we use underwater video cameras, that transmit to the surface in real time, to directly observe the seabed. They may be very simple cameras or more complex underwater robotic systems, for greater depths and simultaneous works like metal detection or sample collection.

Direct diving with underwater recording

Wherever diving is safe, the works will be carried out by professional divers, supported from the surface and equipped with video systems.
