Studies and investigation of fishing grounds

Fishing is a significant economic source. An appropriate management guarantees not only the conservation of those resources, but also the continuity of the industry that depends on it.

Aemon carries out different studies related to fishing grounds, in order to provide with their services:

Our ship is ideal for coastal works. Its length (17 m) and draught (1.80 m) make it very mobile and versatile. It is equipped with a crane, a mechanic reel with 3,000 m of cable, a compressor for diving bottles and refrigerating chambers for sample storage.

Characterization of sea beds
By increasing our knowledge of the depth, the seabed’s morphology and the materials it is composed of, the slope, the different ecosystems, the marine dynamics that affect them (sea flows, tide levels, the physical and chemical parameters of the water, etc.), we intend to obtain a solid base to rely on when it comes to evaluation of fishing grounds or resources.
