Geographic information systems (G.I.S) and data bases
G.I.S
In order to increase the possibilities to exploit the information collected in each project, it is integrated in the Geographical Information Systems where all the pieces of information from different disciplines like biology, photogrammetric restoration, cartography, topography, material analysis, etc. are arranged and interrelated with each other to make it easier to work with them and be able to present them within one single programme.
Information organisation. Data bases.
In order to integrate the information, it must be arranged in a simple, logical way. This is why we use databases (Access, DBase type), since these programmes allow a structured definition of the different fields and the use of related tables.
