Aemón 22

The new ship Aemon 22 is a boat made of fibre with a length of 22 meters and a beam of 6,4 meters, especially designed for oceanographic works. It is equipped with the most modern electronic systems of navigation and data acquisition and with all the necessary oceanographic equipment to perform any type of marine campaigns.

Its main features:

• Length: 22 m.
• Beam: 6.40 m.
• Draught: 2 m.
• Propulsion: Caterpillar diesel motor of 500 hp. with sound insulation and vibrational damping.
• Two auxiliary motors.
• 20 t fuel capacity.
• Consumption: 62 litres / hour at a speed of 9 knots.
• Continued operation autonomy: 15 days.
• Deposit of 3.500 litres fresh water.
• Crane with a loading capacity of 4.950 Kg.
• Mechanic stainless steel log reel of 3,000 m length.
• Kitchen, fridge and freezer.
• 5 independent cabins.
• Wet and dry laboratories
• Toilet with shower.
• Ladder for descending divers.
• Stern ramp for lifting / launching heavy instruments.
• Auxiliary pneumatic vessels of 3.5 y 4 m length, with 60 hp and 25 hp motors each.
